The Grace Kelly Quintet
Saxophonist, singer, composer, arranger, songwriter and recording artist Grace Kelly has shown talents like no other her age (she just turned 18), recording or performing with Lee Konitz, Phil Woods, Wynton Marsalis, Hank Jones, Cedar Walton, Terri Lyne Carrington, Keith Lockhart, and the Boston Pops, Dianne Reeves, among many others, at venues as diverse as Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Birdland, Symphony Hall in Boston, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, Rose Hall at Jazz At Lincoln Center, Scullers Jazz Club, Regatta Bar, and many jazz clubs and festivals in the USA, Europe and Asia.
She was named one of the “Alto Saxophone Rising Stars” (the youngest ever) in the 57th annual Downbeat Critics Poll. (Aug 2009).
Grace Kelly has released five CDs as a leader since the age of twelve: Dreaming, Times Too, Every Road I Walked, GRACEfulLEE (with Lee Konitz, garnering a 4½ star review in Downbeat Magazine Nov. 2008). GRACEfulLEE was named one of the best CDs of the decade by Downbeat Magazine in January 2010. Her latest CD is Mood Changes.
Grace Kelly is the first "rising star" jazz performer invited to participate in the Monty Alexander Jazz Festival in Easton.
