Patron’s Party at Kintore Point
Chesapeake Chamber Music
Extends an Invitation
to an evening of Wine, Friendship and Music
at Kintore Point
Sunday, February 28, 2010
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
What could possibly be better, on a late Winter's evening, than a medley of good friends, good wine and good food - all in a spectacular setting? Come to the Chesapeake Chamber Music's annual Patrons' Party and find out just how good that combination can be.
Ron Sasiela, a 40-year food executive veteran and an amateur wine maker, will delight patrons with a memorable, and educational, wine tasting experience as part of the evening's program. While words such as "harmonious", "rich", "bold" and "balanced" may be used to describe a Chopin Opus, Ron also uses those terms to describe some of his favorite sparkling rosé wines. Rosés, previously thought of as sweet wines, have recently emerged from under the radar screen to become important wines. Now often "dry" and made from premium varietals, such as Pinot Noir, they have come of age to the delight of wine aficionados. The evening's program will feature a blind tasting of several sparkling rosé wines, delicious hors d'oeuvres and good music.
This wonderful evening will be sponsored by Carole and Ron Sasiela and hosted by Carolyn and Charles Thornton at their home, Kintore Point, in Easton. Kintore Point is a striking, 7000 square foot contemporary home on a secluded 17-acre cove on the Miles River. The home boasts a large curved glass wall, 35 foot high ceilings and lightweight woods to highlight expansive river views. The home contains two separate living wings and the property features a barn, tennis court and pool.
Tickets are $100 per person (fully tax deductible). Click here to purchase
Directions to Kintore Point will be sent to all Patron's Party attendees.
