the Monty Alexander Jazz Festival
The 2nd annual Monty Alexander Jazz Festival was held over the 2011 Labor Day weekend and proved a roaring success!
With five sets of performances, sold-out seats, and standing ovations across the board, the Festival thrilled audiences and left them eagerly anticipating a bigger and better repeat in 2012. The Festival was made possible through generous contributions by corporate and public sponsors and individual supporters, as well as the uncounted hours put in by Jazz on the Chesapeake's many volunteers, as well as Don Buxton, Executive Director of Chesapeake Chamber Music, and Lois Campbell, his able assistant.
